Right, I should also put one first poem in here

I wrote this over a year ago for the first birthday of the daughter of a friends couple. It's a free translation of that children's song:

Thilio, thilio dinu nîn,
Iston man i eneth lîn?
Am-dhorthol or amar mîn,
Ech, menel-vir, síloch dîn.
Thilio, thilio dinu nîn,

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are.
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.

Glitter, glitter, little star of mine,

I'd really like to make more such simple things. I am sort of half-working on an elven children song using the "play names for the fingers" as Tolkien has noted them - sort of a counting rhyme.

This is gorgeous. I even sang it through (under my breath) and it fits the tune perfectly. You should certainly do more of these.
