On the Theme for the Summer of Siblings, and provoked by the Story of Elros and Elrond written by Elizabeth Stephens, I am writing something about the contact kept up between Elrond and descendants of his brother - imagining that Galdor from the Havens was involved in this all along. My argument is that Círdan would send someone known and trusted for a very long time to Elrond.
As usual this is a first (unfinished) draft, and may be not only corrected, but perhaps altered significantly in the coming weeks. I have taken considerable liberties with word order, but hope that despite that the sense of the poem may still be grasped.
Here is the Quenya and a word-for-word translation, together with a useable English translation.

Galdor has come again from the Grey Havens
bearing his message from Cirdan.
And yet he has not come as before,
countless times, in countless years.
Bearing words, Galdor has come again.
